employs the work of the Human Genome Project to educate clients and clinicians in healthcare choices.

The aim is to permit informed lifestyle choices, to compensate for potential risks years before illness develops.

Our genes play a role in every aspect of body function at the cellular level. Many processes in the human body are controlled by the interaction of many genes and many factors in the world around us. We test your DNA sample for tiny variants within your genome that can interact with diet and lifestyle to promote or hamper good health.

We can also offer full family history profiling. This adds significant information to your DNA profile and allows us to put your results into clinical context.

The Process

Ordering your test kit

you  place a secure order via our website; you will receive a test kit to sample your DNA, and a booklet that explains the background of the test and how it relates to diet and lifestyle in general

Sample collection

a simple mouth swab is posted off - worldwide, as the sample is stable and will not be affected by delays in transport; a sterile kit is supplied to rub off a few cells from the lining of the cheek - this is the DNA sample and the process is quick and easy.

Sample preparation

extraction of DNA under aseptic conditions - this involves isolating and concentrating the DNA into a form that can be analysed

Genetic analysis                                  identifying your unique genetic sequences

Technical  readout                             highlighting polymorphic variants in genes

Client  report                                       listing and interpreting the personal results

Based on the questionnaire and the genetic profile, we provide information and make some recommendations that permit informed lifestyle choices. All of the recommendations are simple to take up and involve straightforward changes to diet or lifestyle. These recommendations are not only private to you - they are totally personalised to your unique DNA profile and so give you a unique insight into your own genetics.
