Dos and Don'ts of Hug-it™ DO.... Follow the instructions carefully Use from 1 to 2+ years roughly Use with any forward facing child seat Use with standard, top tethered, LATCH or Isofix fitted seats Release the harness buckle before removing or fitting Hug-it Keep the Hug-it™ out of constant direct sunlight ( inside a car is fine ) Wash your Hug-it™ in warm soapy water ( dishwasher solutions may cause clouding) Remember it can be transferred to other harnesses, seats, chairs etc - it is fully portable Remember it can be used to make a seat belt more comfortable for older children and adults .... Use the Hug-it™ as an alternative to the harness buckle: - it is not designed for this and will not hold the child in the seat in event of an accident at speed ...... try to put the Hug-it™ on or off whilst the buckle is locked ...... apply the Hug-it™ if it reaches above armpit level on your child - for example very young babies
Hug-it™ is supplied as a secondary safety device for use with harnesses. It is NEVER to be used as the primary harness buckle or fastening, or seat belt buckle. This is unsafe, illegal and will not protect your child. Hug-it is intended for children up to 2 years in a harness. Hug-it is tough and resilient - and impact absorbing via its design and its composition. If Hug-it is worn in a car accident, it should be replaced. Any softening in hot weather does not affect its function, and it is not affected by freezing.
